Mintel predicts cupuaçu, which contains 10 vitamins and antioxidants along with essential fatty acids and amino acids, will become the next big superfruit. Cupuaçu’s yellow fruit is a mango substitute in desserts.

Gums and candies that reduce tooth decay through probiotic bacteria could be the next area of focus for probiotics, researchers say. Dr. Christine Lang from Organobalance says bacteria called Lactobacillus paracasei are effective in combating dental plaque.
